I am so glad you stopped by. Making reading fun is what I do!
I love books and I especially enjoy choosing which children’s books I am going to promote.
I love you all so much & never forget how much Jesus loves you!
It’s MLK Day!!!! This is a day where we celebrate the amazing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and remember all of his accomplishments! During his time here on earth he had a dream that one day we will live in a nation and not be judged by our skin color, but by the content of our character. He dreamt that one day we would be able to eat together in the same restaurants, go to school together and so much more! It is important that we continue to read all about him and educate ourselves on his mission.
Choosing a crafty activity, like having your students/kids draw pictures of Dr. Martin Luther king or write something about him is always a lovely idea. It is important to get the kids involved in every way possible while discussing moments in history, but let’s make it fun!
You can simply go to my YouTube channel: Miss Erica’s reading club and watch my read along, “My brother Martin.” If you have any books of your own, you can start there as well! Also, you can ask questions during story time, just to make sure the kids are listening!
“Our Friend Martin” is one of my favorite movies. I can remember being glued to the TV and waiting for what would happen next. If you have not seen this movie, I would definitely suggest you check it out. Oh, and it’s a cartoon!!
Let’s not forget that his dream came true!
