Meet Grandma Lola

She’s sweet, classy, and Youtube’s favorite Grandma

Her name is Grandma Lola!! March is the month of women empowerment and so it’s only right that I highlight the main character of my puppet show; Grandma Lola. When I was in the process of creating “Lola’s Garden of Love” on YouTube, I thought long and hard on what I wanted Grandma Lola’s Character to be like and it hit me! I wanted her to be just like my Grandma Sabra. Now, I never knew her, but I was always told stories that she loved children, so I dedicated this entire show to her. Grandma Lola is a retired school counselor and she has dedicated a lot of her precious time to the school system and now she gets to kick back and teach children all about SEL and the love of JESUS!!! Two of her favorite things to do!

The Build

I was super excited to create Grandma Lola with my lovely puppeteer creators I found on ETSY. They were so professional and very communicative. I just knew that she would be created with love and that I would love her oh so much! Her outfit choice is something that I kept seeing in my mind and I am so grateful that I chose her pink blazer and white undershirt because it is so retired school counselor appealing. She also wears earrings along with a wedding ring ( you will get to meet her husband later on.) She has been a hoot on the show so far and has been enjoying herself throughout the different segments on the channel.
