I am so glad you stopped by. Making reading fun is what I do!
I love books and I especially enjoy choosing which children’s books I am going to promote.
I love you all so much & never forget how much Jesus loves you!
It’s finally here!!!! National Reading Month has finally arrived and I couldn’t be happier. As you all know, I love to read (of course) so I am very excited to show you all what I have brewing up for this month. There are so many books that have made their way to “my most favorite list.” Plus I have some neat and fun activities lined up for this month as well.
Oh, it will be an exciting time.
Even if your child is not on “reading level status” just yet; you can still get them involved. You can do this by reading to them for at least 30 minutes each day and oh yeah, don’t forget bed time stories. Your child may not be able to fully read the words with you just yet, but I am sure they will have a blast bonding with you as you read to them.
To all of my teachers, I don’t know if your school has went completely virtual or if you have the advantage to see your students face to face. Either way, I hope that you will incorporate some fun new books into your reading time “circle.”
If you are looking for different ways to enhance your child’s reading skills I am going to suggest my little cutesy list of 5 must have’s below.
Flash cards that have pictures and words (be sure to make this fun.)
leap frog activities because who doesn’t love leap frog?!?
Reading club YouTube channels (Including Miss Erica’s of course :))
Apps like PBS and Epic are my favorite!
Hands on activities that correlate with the book.
Of course there are plenty of other things you can do. Including, helping your child write their name, teach them the alphabet, learn their sight words, etc. I will go into a few others much later in the month.
Like, we have a whole entire month to love on our favorite books. However if you are apart of Miss Erica’s reading club, we will love books forever, and ever, and ever hahaha.
So, Happy Reading Month and I will see ya later!
